The Bakalor's have moved to southern California
Barry and Sue have purchased land near Malibu in northern Los Angeles
County, and are building a house on it and moved in this past June.
The address of our new home is:

The land is 20.35 acres in the Santa Monica Mountains, adjacent to
the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. We will be about
3 miles south of Agoura Hills and 9 miles north of Malibu and Zuma Beach.
Directions:
From 101: Take US-101 (Ventura Freeway) to Agoura Hills, and take
Kanan Road south 3.3 miles to Triunfo Canyon Road, turn right, go
0.6 miles to Lobo Canyon Road, and turn left. We are 1.2 miles down
the road, on the left.
From the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH, Hwy 1), take Kanan Road north
for 9 miles to Triunfo Canyon Road, turn left, and continue as described
above.
We worked with architect Les
Makowski since November 2001 to design the house, which will have
about 12,000 square feet of living space and about 16,000 square feet
total. Les is also our general contractor.
We broke ground on March 19, 2003. The foundation was completed on
May 16, and framing was essentially completed by the end of August.
Rough electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and sprinklers were done in
September. Exterior doors and windows were next, and in November we
added an outdoor covered deck on the second floor. Interior wiring for
phones, TV, Internet, and sound was installed in December, followed
by insulation. The roof was completed and covered in early January,
2004. The drywall was completed in April, and cabinetry and stone floors
began next. We are now well into the finish work.
